James has lived and worked at Hawaii’s largest retreat centre and has a passion for bringing groups together.
A keen explorer, he’s hiked the rainforests of Madagascar, the volcanoes of Hawaii and swum through underground caves in New Zealand full of eels and glowworms. He's looking forward to showing you some of Byron’s most beautiful hikes, waterfalls, and remote beaches.
James is experienced with leading groups, having co-facilitated a national consultation that included hundreds of people from all over Australia.
James spent over a decade in the world of politics, focusing on work to address homophobia in schools and improve health outcomes for the LGBTI community.
He currently splits his time between work for one of Australia’s largest social purpose organisations and completing his first book on gay men’s health and wellbeing.
