Jonathan is an addiction specialist and clinical toxicologist working in Sydney's St Vincent’s Hospital Poisons Information Centre – and also as a consultant for the United Nations.
A trained medical doctor with fellowships in clinical pharmacology, addiction medicine and toxicology, Jonathan is currently studying for a PhD in pharmacology and public health, while also working as a lecturer at the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales.
Jonathan teaches a variety of subjects including pharmacology, neurobiology, addiction medicine and motivational enhancement. He’s also actively involved in research, having authored over 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals, as well as several book chapters.
Trained in varied modalities of motivational enhancing therapy, Jonathan has a special interest in the interface between chronic pain, trauma and addiction... which is supported further by his training as a Ka Huna therapist.
